No. JunkyDrawers works completely without it. Duplicates are still pointed out on each scan; the $1.00 upgrade adds a dedicated screen that gathers duplicates from all of your spaces together with a suggested quantity to keep and an estimated value for the extras.

Yes. An account is what keeps your inventory, scans and household tied to you, and it is what your purchase is attached to. Creating the account is free; the app unlocks after the one-time payment.

No. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. You pay once for the app and once, optionally, if you choose to add Duplicate Finder later.

Only the spaces you want to track. Most people start with one annoying drawer, then add a toolbox or a shelf when it proves useful. You can also type items in by hand.

You get an honest 'nothing found' answer and a suggestion to scan the space where the item might be. You can always add the item to your inventory yourself with a name, quantity and location.

Yes. Your photos, scans and item records belong to your account, plus any household you deliberately share with. They are not published anywhere and are not used to advertise to you. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Yes. Household mode lets you share one inventory with the people you live with using an invite code, so everyone sees the same spaces and items.

JunkyDrawers runs in the browser and is built mobile-first, so it works on phones, tablets and desktop. Your data syncs to your account, so you can start on a phone and continue on a tablet.
